Abstract: With the aging United States population, there is a parallel increase in the number of patients presenting with hip fractures. These fractures in the elderly present unique challenges that arise from age and frailty. Improving perioperative management for these patients can enhance outcomes in terms of morbidity, mortality, and economics. Optimizing outcomes in elderly hip fracture repair relies on multidisciplinary collaboration to manage perioperative comorbidities.
